Kārlis Krastiņš is Managing Partner and the Chairman of the Management Board of Prudentia. Prior to joining the company in 2002, he was the Founder and the President of Commercial Bank "Baltikums" (now- Blue Orange Bank). Earlier, he hold senior positions in different Baltic banks. Kārlis was a member of Supervisory Board of the "Riga Stock Exchange" (now- Nasdaq Riga) from 1997 to 2002.

 

Kārlis Krastiņš has been engaged many times in advisory services to leading Latvian and Baltic companies. Very complicate and long-lasting (2011-2015) process of company`s restructuring, stabilization and development of national airline company airBaltic, has been completed under leadership of Kārlis Krastins. Prudentia was employed by the Latvian Government, which is the main shareholder of airBaltic, to advise them in solving the issues in the company, private investor and 269 million euros financing attraction.

 

Furthermore Kārlis has led and completed successful investor attraction process for the largest Latvian milk processing company JSC "Rīgas piena kombināts" and has consulted purchaser in acquisition of JSC "Valmieras piens" - a leading dairy company in Latvia. Later Kārlis has been an adviser in the merger between AS "Rīgas Piena kombināts" and AS "Valmieras Piens", where after the merger a new brand "Food Union" was formed, which is one of the largest dairy processing companies in the Baltic States.

Kārlis provided valuation services for several investments held by VVMV, a prominent Latvian family office and organized sale of its 60% shareholding in the organic food producer LatEkoFood. He provided strategic advisory and analysis regarding expansion possibilities across the Baltic states to Invalda group and its portfolio company Eco Baltia.
